DREAMFLEET

Abri is one of the UAE’s most recognised and loved musicians. His collaboration with Dreamfleet producers Adriano Konialidis and Mostyn Reischmueller generated two well-received and much loved albums; the chilled lounge-soul ‘We Fly’ and their second more experimental album ‘Pieces’, both currently streaming and on sale on multiple global platforms.

About this project  It’s a bucket list item for every designer to create an album cover, but I was also grateful to enjoy a completely free hand in the design of the Visual concept for We Fly. In a free-flowing collaboration with the creative Lebanese portrait photographer Marianne Zammaria, we projected layers of my artwork onto the faces and bodies of the three musicians - to echo the layered, structural elements of the music. The We Fly album covered involved the same hand-drawn pointillist style I developed in my earlier Grek portrait series, and the album cover is now available to purchase in the form of the physical album and enjoyed a starring role on the apple website as part of the launch of apple music middle east.
