Even today, Greek mythology has a colossal influence on all facets of the culture, arts, and literature of European and western civilization, and remains an intrinsic part of our shared heritage and language. Poets and artists from ancient times to the present have found repeated inspiration from Greek mythology; a continued and compelling significance and relevance in its many themes, lessons, ideas, personalities and values.

About this project  As part of a series of illustrations, I let my fascination with the gods of Greek Mythology lead me into a highly creative series of Fine Art illustrations. These involved taking specific personalities and interpreting them, using a painstaking hand-drawn pointillist process, to meditate over their character and values today. Zeus - as the father of the gods, is made up of around two million dots alone. Apollo too represents many values I identify with, and I focused on during the time I spent creating their portraits.
